3 months agoAfter not being able to drive for over a year, now I have my license back, coming here is a breath of fresh air in comparison to other dispensaries in the area that I had to walk to. The Bud Tenders are always so nice, helpful, and take their time with each patient. Today Bobbie was my Bud Tender and she put me on to a wax vape, she gave me great info about the product and how to use it for whenever I can come back to buy it. I also accidentally ordered from the wrong location online, so when I went In they didn’t carry the product (which was my bad for shopping at the Illonois store online lol) so Bobbie was very helpful when I gave up looking at the menu on the tablets myself, so she put her skills to work and she picked out a great strain for me. Thanks girl 😉

2 months agoRyan helped save a lot on my order by combining deals and doing what needed done with best deal options available that I was unaware of when ordering. Saved $75 and each product was at-least meeting my expectations if not exceeding them.

a month agoFirst timer here. 36 years old. Yes, obviously I’m a white woman beginning her mental health journey. If you’ve ever woken up every day with Olympic gold-medalist energy, argued with yourself in five conversational lanes at once, or asked, “Am I going crazy?” — congratulations. Sit down. Shut up. And listen. Yes, you’re crazy. But so is everyone else. Your ADHD brain is busy inventing light bulbs and epic masterpieces; it just needs to zoom in once in a while. You’re not “too much.” You’re not broken. You just haven’t met Ryan and Jasmine (and the very serious gatekeeper up front) at RISE in Steelton yet. I burst into the store (emotionally, not physically — Hercules had to push the button to let me in). Important note for the Karens: it does feel a little like a prison entrance at first, don’t panic. Because then you walk into a space that looks like Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart co-designed a lounge. And yes, there are shopper club points. Anyway. I tell Ryan I’m freshly off my middle-aged “get off my lawn” SSRI era and I’m ready to try it the devil’s way. He does not flinch. Not even a little. This man calmly walks me through my options, explains basic math to me, and gently holds my hand like the emotional toddler I am. He tells me basically everything there is to know about medical marijuana and how not to accidentally get arrested transporting it. A king. The only hiccup from visit one was the disposable pen. I thought the experience was “inhale until your soul leaves your body.” I wasn’t sure if that was intentional because, to be fair, that would quiet the brain. I was almost disappointed… until I realized it had to be charged. Game changer. Now I love it. Especially the little nightlight on the end that helps me find the bathroom at 3am and make shadow puppets. Fire. (Add that to the sales pitch next time, Ryan.) Fast forward to visit two. ID ready for Hercules. Touchscreen mastered. Enter Jasmine. Calm, knowledgeable, zero judgment, and somehow able to translate weed science into English. She didn’t laugh when I said “t-roach,” gently suggested smaller doses because I apparently like to cannonball into the deep end, and actually made me feel like my questions weren’t dumb — just honest. The kind of person you want guiding you when you’re new and your brain is already doing parkour. Here’s the serious part: For the first time in a long time, my brain feels quieter — not numb, not dulled, just… manageable. I don’t feel medicated into submission. I feel present. Focused. Like myself, but with the volume turned down instead of smashed with a hammer. Compared to other options I’ve tried, this has actually helped me function, sleep, and breathe without losing who I am in the process. So to all my Xanax-ridden, Botox-injected white thirty-somethings of America: you’re not broken. Your brain just needs a massage. And maybe a really good budtender.
